Smuggled Footage Alleges Soviet Killings of Alien Khar-Sha’yun in Secret Frontier Massacres

The USSR liquidated hundreds of alien youths and families between 2274 and 2279. A damning Centauri Sentinel report alleges the Soviet Union exploited the extreme isolation of mankind’s second contact to conceal mass killings in at least three separate massacres.

The article included footage smuggled from Oponskoye Station, a Soviet research facility established to study the alien Khar-Sha’yun. It is one of the Orion Arm’s most distant outposts, and critics say conditions there more closely resemble a forced labor camp.

The worst incident was allegedly sparked by repeated taunting and abuses by Soviet soldiers, spiralling out of control until as many as a thousand Khar-Sha’yun youths attempted to storm the station’s aerospace port and were killed by small arms and VTOL fire.

The Soviet Foreign Ministry called the article a “gross falsification manufactured by those opposed to interstellar détente who seek to poison international relations.” Radio Moscow has since broadcast a series of documentaries on the Khar-Sha’yun.

Our Analysis: The Khar-Sha’yun remain the only sentient, extraterrestrial life to have been discovered since the Scinfaxi Wars. Scattered across several worlds in a remote subcluster on the Soviet Frontier, they survive in a fragmented, post-apocalyptic state.
