Frontier Community: Three Saints, Under Nightly Lockdowns Following Attacks By Alien “Grostesques”

Several frontier communities on Three Saints have imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew after consistent sightings and a growing list of fatal attacks by a species of winged ambush predator native to the planet. Known to hunt exclusively at night, many residents have taken to boarding their windows.

Our Analysis: The “Three Saints Grotesque” actively hunts humans as prey, remaining motionless for days before striking. Many are large enough to carry the bodies of children and youths and it is one of several exobiotic species known to favor humans as prey.

Recent attacks have increasingly occurred inside settlers’ homes, and not always in isolated areas. The creatures enter through second-story windows, which are often less protected, and feed on those inside. This can continue for days if neighbors are not alerted.

The Grotesques’ behavior also makes them well-suited to stowing away aboard starships and other craft. Like the Huldra, they have been inadvertently introduced to several worlds across the Far Frontier, where quarantine procedures are less stringent.
