Last of Scinfaxi Generation Fading Fast Amid Race To Collect Memories
The last eyewitnesses to the Second Scinfaxi War are expected to be gone within a generation, according to a demographic assessment published this week by the Global Documentation Initiative. Fewer than 30,000 confirmed survivors remain, the youngest now in their early 140s.
In a statement accompanying the report, the GDI said the coming years would mark an irreversible threshold: "For the first time, humanity will lose the ability to face a survivor and ask - ‘what was it really like.’"
