Captured Fascist Mercenaries Were Tortured Before Execution

The anti-fascist organization Giustizia e Libertà (Justice and Liberty), has claimed responsibility for the death and mutilation of seven members of the Tenth Legion PMC. The victims were taken during the ongoing intense clashes aboard Emerald Garden, a large independent station.

Our Analysis:

Tenth Legion mercenaries arrived aboard the Emerald Garden under confused circumstances, purportedly to serve as additional security for the station’s administration. Their presence triggered immediate clashes with anti-fascist groups, particularly the Red Orchestra.

Giustizia e Libertà was not known to have had a substantial presence on Emerald Garden, and likely arrived specifically to resist the Italian-backed PMC. Their signature brutality, meant to intimidate collaborators as much as enemies, is likely a deliberate escalation.
