A software update to the Templin Keppe brand of cybernetics left tens of millions of users temporarily blind after what company representatives described as an “unintended error”. Several legacy models of optical replacement implants were affected.

In a statement, Templin Keppe Cybernetics said it “deeply regretted” the outage, which lasted under six hours and affected only a small percentage of customers in the New American Colonies.
