Reunion Veteran Found Dead on Remote Moon, Linked to RGSS Dolphin Disaster

The remains of a thirty-seven year old Reunion man, discovered on a remote moon in the Ashpoint system, have become the latest evidence in an ongoing mystery after investigators confirmed he had been a passenger aboard the ill-fated RGSS Dolphin.

The victim, whose identity has been withheld at his family's request, was a decorated veteran of the Corporate War and served in what a Reunion military spokesperson described as “a unit comparable to special forces.”

Yet there are still no answers as to how a relatively young man with military experience and survival training, presumed lost along with 3,494 others aboard a medium-range interstellar liner, ended up alone on the other side of the region.

Unconfirmed reports have further complicated the situation, with some sources claiming the man managed to transmit a signal from his location before being discovered in what one investigator described as a “completely eviscerated” state.

The strangest detail though, reported by several independent sources, was that a military grade firearm, several explosives, and body armour, were recovered from the scene. Items his family say the victim did not have at the time of his departure aboard the Dolphin.

Investigators are reportedly concerned that the Dolphin’s security systems may have been disabled, and are reviewing security footage to confirm the victim did indeed board the vessel. One source indicated he is now a person of interest in the disaster that befell the ship.
