Chari-Makasa To Begin Domestic Production of Intermarium Tanks, AFVs, Artillery
Intermarium state defense firm H. Cegielski has signed an agreement with the Pouget Arsenal of Chari-Makasa setting the terms for the manufacture of tens of thousands of armoured vehicles and advanced artillery. Under the arrangement, Pouget will act as a subcontractor for production work, with H. Cegielski assembling and exporting roughly 40% of the total order. The remainder will be produced in the Solidarité of Chari-Makasa, representing the nation’s inaugural domestic capability in current-generation rocket artillery and precision-guided missile systems. Amara Osei-Quispe, Chari-Makasa’s Deputy State Assets Minister, hailed the deal as a “generational leap for our [Chari-Makasa’s] arms industry”.
Our Analysis: This agreement is part of an enormous defense procurement program launched by Chari-Makasa following the collapse of détente between the Orion Treaty Organization and Co-Prosperity Sphere across the Great Orinoco. Caught in the middle and with no regional allies, the development of an independent yet credible military deterrent has been a key issue for the Solidarité’s major parties.
