Axis Powers Overtake OTO “Super Capital” Deployment — LOSUPCOM
For the first time, the Axis Powers have surpassed the Orion Treaty Organization in the number of “super capital” type warships deployed to the Local Supercluster (OTO: LOSUPCOM). Though not indicative of overall military capability, it has long served as a symbolic benchmark.
This informal tally, maintained by several intelligence services, media groups and defense analysts, including the Champlain Group, tracks the number of fleet dreadnoughts and fleet carriers, the largest warships in service, forward deployed to the Local Supercluster.
The change occurred without the Axis needing to alter their deployments in the region. A fleetwide pivot by OTO has seen super capitals increasingly concentrated in the Acadian Expanse and Near Orinoco at the expense of other theaters.
The French fleet dreadnought Richelieu and her sister ship Joan of Arc are widely regarded as the most powerful warships in the Local Supercluster. They serve alongside the older British Warrior-class fleet dreadnoughts: HMS Agamemnon, HMS Aboukir, and HMS Temeraire.
They escort the nine fleet carriers that form the other half of OTO’s super capital complement, ships from the US, UK, France, PSA, and West Africa.
Newly in first place, the Axis have, for the last five years, maintained in the Local Supercluster 6 fleet dreadnoughts (4 from Italy, 1 from the German Reich, and 1 from Spain) with 9 fleet carriers drawn from these same three nations.
Among them, the Tannhäuser stands out as the flagship of the Kriegsmarine and class leader of the Reich’s newest fleet dreadnoughts, while the Italian Aeternitas-class fleet carrier has likewise drawn attention for entering service in the theater ahead of schedule.
Notably, this balance is expected to shift sharply within the next decade, as rising powers such as India, Brazil, Alpha Centauri, and Turkey expand their interstellar fleets at an unprecedented pace.
