Argentina Conducts Largest Joint Exercises in over a Decade across Qhapaq Ñan System

Argentina’s Navy & Army are currently conducting exercises in the Qhapaq Nan System, the latest in a series of military drills, and the first to include forces from Gran Colombia and the Pact of Rome. Officials have described the operation as one of the most significant in the last decade, aimed at improving interoperability between participating militaries. The exercises include large-scale defense and attack maneuvers in a simulated interstellar war, with several hundred warships and over 70,000 participating troops.

Our Analysis: With anti-fascist Brazilian mercenaries flooding into the Elysian Fields and Chile’s growing relationship with the COMINTERN, this latest round of drills is a thinly disguised Argentine show of force. Though carefully framed in the language of cooperation, the scale of the exercise and the involvement of the Pact of Rome in particular has led to renewed anxieties across the Bolivar Sea.
