Appalachian Megalopolis Demands Action After 3 Workers Killed By Non-Terran Species
Residents of the Appalachian Megalopolis are urging authorities to act after 3 city workers were killed by invasive non-terran species thriving in a unique cave system beneath the city. Experts estimate up to 100 exobiotic species may have taken root there.
Workers were assessing flood risk on a disused Metro Rail segment ~250 feet below ground when the attack occurred. Older sections of Appalachia’s underground have faced long-term closures and targeted culls after similar incidents.
